Week 3 in Review
Woah! Time is just flying by and I can't believe that today brings us to the end of week 3! If we were still in the classroom you would only have 2 more weeks with me (its ok to cry about it). But now that I am teaching this way, I will be staying 1 extra week!
For those who have handed in their stories about a character who is different, please go back and take a look as I have made some comments. Overall, your stories were amazing and I have seen such growth in your writing. I am so proud! I hope that some of you were feeling challenged by the coding website this week! Trying something new isn't always easy, but the fact that you have tried is important.
If you have not handed in your story yet, you still have time to get them in! Also, don't forget about the assignment on No Red Ink, which is due on Sunday!
For next week:
I will be arranging a Zoom meeting for Monday at 12:00 for the whole class (I might be crazy for trying this)! Luckily I have the power to mute you all if you are talking when I am trying to teach! We will be discussing your assignment of the week over the Zoom meeting, so it is important that you attend and have paper and a pencil to write things down. We are going to be looking at data collection and graphing, so a mixture of math and science!
Some of you may know that our school is currently being used as a hub for kids whose parents are Essential Service Workers (ESW). During our Zoom meeting on Monday, one of the teachers who is currently working at our school to help out with these kids will be joining us! She will tell us what it's like, and what types of things they are doing at the school.
That is all I have for today! I look forward to seeing you all on Monday! Enjoy your weekend!
